Alicia Gómez Saiz, a resident doctor in Ophthalmology at the Virgen de la Luz Hospital in Cuenca, Spain, has won first prize for best oral communication at the XIV Congress of the Ophthalmological Society of Castilla-La Mancha. Her presentation focused on a rare and difficult-to-treat orbital tumor and the innovative therapeutic alternatives used at the hospital. Gómez Saiz expressed her satisfaction with the recognition and the quality of her training at the hospital.
